BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition 2018
at the RDS, Dublin 4.

2018 got off to a great start n terms of Outreach. For the preceding months, our team had been preparing for probably their biggest Outreach event to date - the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.

This event boasts a footfall of 50,000. While its participants are talented secondary school pupils, the event attracts a wide and varied audience; from the young primary school child on their school tour to the droves of teenagers who come to support their participating classmates, and from families who bring their kids along to inspire them with science to the more mature audience that are interested in all things scientific and innovative.

Our ESRs, Antonia Trotta, Michio Clarke, Tom Connor and Chen Ling had great fun and rose to the challenge of communicating their message to a varied audience. Our exhibits were very well received by the public especially our jellyhead and our interactive quiz!
